Moonlight Nostalgia: Event Update: The Best (Day Ever!!) of Anime 2014

Hi! So, this is going to be my first-ever event post with pictures of myself and friends. =))

Last Saturday, September 20, 2014, was the Best of Anime 2014 convention at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City, Philippines.

What is The Best of Anime, you might ask. First of all, it is an annual gathering of otakus, as well as cosplayers. There are also a lot of programs and booths. You also get to have pictures with random people cosplaying an anime character that you know of. The booths were also sugoi as well, because they sell not only anime/manga-related stuff, but they also sell other fandom merch. (Doctor Who, Sherlock, Game of Thrones, etc.)

Let us now start with the event's pictures and mini-stories! :)

First off, we lined up for the entrance ticket which costs Php300. I can't say that it wasn't worth it, because it totally was!

Then, we went up to the 2nd floor of the SMX Center. The entrance to the function rooms were guarded with security officials, who will stamp an invisible ink thing onto your wrists once you get in. They cut the tickets, by the way. This invisible ink thing will be your ticket for re-entry.

Of course, before entering the function room itself, we must line up first for security purposes. While on the line, we saw a person who cosplayed Sora from No Game No Life! (can you spot him?) ((where's Shiro?))

There were a lot of stalls, and the Eiwa Manga Store is just one of so many. They sell manga volumes for considerable prices, and they also have mangas that you wouldn't usually find in bookstores! (photo credit: otaku.ph)

Here we have a picture of me and a person who cosplayed Ken Kaneki (the innocent one hehe *winks*) from Tokyo Ghoul!

I didn't have a chance to take a picture with Ahri and Jinx from League of Legends so here's a picture of Ahri's back!

I bought so many merch, and it was a totally fun experience! I wouldn't mind going to BoA 2015 next year even if there was another storm the day before the event. Kudos to a 10/10 well organized event!
