But one day, through an unexpected incident, Teru begins working for the delinquent school janitor, Kurosaki, she starts to question Daisy's identity. Daisy may be closer to Teru than she thinks...

Thoughts:
Awww Dengeki Daisy was also one of the mangas I've started with. When I first saw the art, I was really impressed because wow it's so cool. Kurosaki's also one of the most handsome manga characters ever, I swear to the gods. Also, the story is so exciting. The twists and turns will make you crave for more, and that is how I never managed to put my phone down whenever I'm reading Dengeki Daisy.

9. Koe no Katachi (A Silent Voice)

Ishida Shouya bullies a deaf girl, Nishimiya Shouko, to the point that she drops out of school. As a result, he is ostracized and bullied himself with no friends to speak of and no plans for the future.

This is the story of his path to redemption.

Thoughts:
Koe no Katachi made me feel a lot of fluttering butterflies in my tummy making their way up to my heart. Some chapters really bored me and made me think why would you even go out of your way to do that but overall, it's a really nice manga that'll make you want to treasure the people important to you.

8. Noragami (Stray God)
Japanese: ノラガミ
Status: Ongoing
Genre(s): Action, Adventure, Romance, Shounen, Supernatural
Number of Chapters: currently 48

Unfortunately, his dream is far from coming true since he doesn't even have a single shrine dedicated to him. To make things worse, the only partner he had to help him solve people's problems, had just quit the job.

His godly existence and luck just might change when he stumbles upon Iki Hiyori and saves her life; a feat which also leaves her in quite a predicament so she is stuck with him until her problem gets resolved. Together with Hiyori and his new partner-weapon Yukine, Yato will do everything he can to gain fame, recognition and just maybe, one shrine dedicated to him, as well.

Thoughts:
Noragami is a very wonderful, humorous, and heartwarming manga about a minor deity god named Yato. He was once a person with a very dark and mysterious past, and so he does his best to make people acknowledge him and all his hardwork. It's funny and sort of fluffy, and it's really worth reading.

A collection of short stories that revolve around certain people.

Thoughts:
Amazing art, cool guys, and sweets! I swear cakes and chocolates and candies and basically everything sweet was mentioned every chapter. Some love stories didn't have happy endings but crap Yamamori Mika is so amazing.

5. Hirunaka no Ryuusei (Daytime Shooting Star)

Turns out, Suzume will be seeing him a lot more often once she starts school because... he's her homeroom teacher!?

Thoughts
Hirunaka no Ryuusei introduced me to the world of shoujo. It's a fluffy manga which will make you war with yourself over the ships and the good-looking guys. It's also a manga that gave me a lot of feels. I swear. It might seem to be the typical and cliche shoujo manga-- well it is-- but it makes cliche evolve into a new and more powerful level.

4. Orange

Japanese: オレンジ
Status: Ongoing
Number of Chapters: currently 16
Genre(s): Drama, Romance, School, Sci-Fi, Shoujo
Author: Takano Ichigo

Summary:
One day, Takamiya Naho receives a letter written to herself from ten years in the future. As Naho reads on, the letter recites the exact events of the day, including the transfer of a new student into her class named Naruse Kakeru.

The Naho from ten years later repeatedly states that she has many regrets, and she wants to fix these by making sure the Naho from the past can make the right decisions—especially regarding Kakeru. What's more shocking is that she discovers that ten years later, Kakeru will no longer be with them. Future Naho asks her to watch over him closely.

Thoughts:
This is the first manga that made me cry a whole damn lot. Considering that it currently has only 16 chapters, the first few 10 (I think) were really a huge dose of feels. And when I say huge, I mean gigantic. "Huge" is an understatement.

3. Naruto

Japanese: ナルト
Status: Finished
Number of Chapters: 700
Genre(s): Action, Adventure, Drama, Martial Arts, Shounen, Superpower
Author: Masashi Kishimoto

Summary:
Before Naruto's birth, a great demon fox had attacked the Hidden Leaf Village. A man known as the 4th Hokage sealed the demon inside the newly born Naruto, causing him to unknowingly grow up detested by his fellow villagers. Desiring the respect he never received, Naruto works toward his dream with fellow friends Sasuke and Sakura and mentor Kakashi as they go through many trials and battles that come with being a ninja.

Thoughts:
No no no no no no Naruto why did you have to end omg did you know what a huge impact you've made in my childhood life and Sasuke Uchiha oh good lord you beautiful creature :(((((((((( I think that most of you know what and who Naruto is, so I don't think that I'd have to explain anything more. All I can say is that the character developments were really amazing, as well as the way the plot twisted and turned. Sasuke Uchiha is the most handsome human being alive... oops alive in my heart  :(((((((( NaruHina = love

2. Watashitachi no Shiawase na Jikan (Our Happy Time)

Japanese: 私たちの幸せな時間
Status: Finished
Number of Chapters: 8
Genre(s): Drama, Romance, Seinen, Slice of Life, Josei, Psychological
Author: Yumeka Sumomo (Art) and Gong Ji-Young (Story)

Summary:
"I have something I don't want to lose"

"So much so that these terrible feelings have grown."

A pianist who attempted suicide 3 times, Juri, is taken to help her aunt at a prison where murderers who killed indiscriminately are sentenced to death. There, she meets a man named Yuu who took the lives of 3 people. A mother's antagonism--a brother's death... Together they embrace the violent rebellion in their hearts caused by the large, deep scars they carry. However, before long, they both embrace an earnest hope in their hearts. "I want to live..."

Thoughts:
2 thumbs up. It's a manga with a serious atmosphere and it made me look at life in a totally different perspective. It shows the value of life, and how suicide is never an option. This is the most life-changing, touching, moving, and heart-wrenching manga out there. Kudos to the author for making me feel tons of emotions within 8 considerably short chapters.

1. Tokyo Ghoul (Toukyou Kushu)
Japanese: 東京喰種-トーキョーグール-
Status: Finished
Genre(s): Horror, Psychological, Drama, Seinen
Number of Chapters: 143
Author: Ishida Sui

Summary:
Strange murders are happening in Tokyo. Due to liquid evidence at the scene, the police conclude the attacks are the results of "eater" type ghouls. College buddies Kaneki and Hide come up with the idea that ghouls are imitating humans so that's why they haven't ever seen one. Little did they know that their theory may very well become reality.

Thoughts:
To be honest, this was the first manga I've read that exceeds 100 chapters. Moreover, this is also the first manga I've read that doesn't deal with love, and those sort of stuff so this might be a bit biased due to my lack of experience. The first few chapters deal with Kaneki Ken, an innocent boy who never knew that one meeting would change his life forever. The next chapters deal with his development, as well as those people around him. The story's plot unraveled at a very adequate phase, and you will be trapped in the world of humans and ghouls filled with a number of twists, turns, and a little drama.
